Glassblowing
I took Glassblowing 1 in my final semester at TCC. Initially, I was anxious about my abilities in 3D art. Throughout the semester, Mr. Francis and all the employees at Chrysler Museum Glass Studio helped me develop my skills and my confidence. This was one of the most enriching experiences at TCC in my time there.
About
Painting
I took 2 courses in painting at Tidewater Community College. For both of these sessions, our class was held virtually. This was a major adjustment in the beginning, but it gave me the opportunity to develop my home studio. Developing a safe place to create uninterrupted has been imperative to my journey.
About
Manda's Canvas
My personal brand, Manda's Canvas, was developed during my time at TCC. I participated in both the Winter and Spring art fairs held by the TCC Art League. I have created and sold fiber arts, jewelry, and art prints. Through these experiences, I have learned new ways to market and promote my product. I also had many chances to network with local artisans.
