About me
Amanda Gary
I am an undergraduate at Virginia Commonwealth University currently in the Art Education program. Additionally, I am currently working toward a minor in Art History to further support my educational advancement.
Because I am a transfer student coming from a community college, I have had a unique experience at VCU thus far. My time in the Tidewater Community College Studio Arts program built up my foundational knowledge and allowed me the time to experiment with multiple different mediums. I graduated from TCC with an Associates in Studio Arts. I have lived and studied in Virginia my entire life, enriching myself in Norfolk and Richmond's deep creative roots. My work has been shown in MoCA and multiple smaller student shows. Through TCC, I participated in numerous student art fairs and began learning the business of selling work professionally. Through VCU's Art Education program, I hope to one day become a professor of art and teach others while also contributing to my local artistic community.
